In February 2009, Prague Airport welcomed 616 101 passengers, representing a decrease of 20,31 % compared to February 2008. The airport recorded 10 871 movements, showing a decline of 13,55 %, which confirms the trend of capacity reductions that airlines are forced to make in response to the falling demand for air traffic. The highest reduction of traffic was experienced in the low cost and charter segments with 27,6 %, respectively 25,3 % less passengers when compared with the same period last year. The first year to year decrease means 12 368 671 passengers in last 12 months, 171 248 less March 2007 - February 2008 period. The local biggest airline - CSA, board on scheduled flights 246 200 passengers in February 2009 (15 % less than in the previous year). 4,7 pb decrease in aircraft load factor means for CSA the February load factor under 50 % on scheduled flights.
