July 2010 saw a slight year-on-year decrease by 1,8 % in numbers of passengers handled at Prague Airport: 1 289 152. The number of aircraft movements declined by 6,4 % to the total of 14 998. While passenger volumes (1 055 819) in the scheduled air traffic remained at the same level when compared with July 2009, the numbers in the charter segment fell by more than 9 % to 233 333. Greece was the country where the biggest number of passengers headed to and from in the first month of summer holiday month. It was followed by the United Kingdom and Germany on second and third ranks. The most significant improvement in passenger numbers was experienced on flights to Russia (+29,1 %). The most popular destinations were again Paris Charles de Gaulle (71 612) with a robust increase by 50,8 %, Moscow Sheremetyevo (44 929) with the second most impressive improvement by 16,6% and London Heathrow (44 519).
