H80 engines certified for Russian airspace

A GE Aviation H80, ancestor of the proven M601 engine, has been certified by the Russian authorities (MAK) on September 24th. Following the European, American, Brasilian and Argentinian certification, this is a new big area of opearation for this improved engine. Canadian and Chinese certifications are pending. 30 engines are expected to be sold to Russia next year as part of the L410 contracts. Apart of the L410 and the Thrush 510G farming plane, the King Air C90 is another candidate for using this engine.
